DM Plant

Demineralized water is required particularly for boiler feed purposes. This is because a small quantity of the circulating water is recycled in the process. The function of demineralization plant is to remove dissolved salt by ion exchange method and there by producing pure feed water for boiler.

Demineralization of water is the removal of essentially all inorganic salts by ion exchange. In this process, strong acid cation resin in the hydrogen form converts dissolved salts into their corresponding acids, and strong base anion resin in the hydroxide form removes these acids. DM plant consists of cation and anion exchange units followed by a mixed bed unit.

Mineral ions such as cations of sodium, calcium, iron, copper, etc and anions such as chloride, sulphate, nitrate, etc are common ions present in Water. Deionization is a physical process which uses specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which provides ion exchange site for the replacement of the mineral salts in Water with Water forming H+ and OH- ions. A DM Water System produces mineral free Water by operating on the principles of ion exchange, Degasification, and polishing. Demineralized Water System finds wide application in the field of steam, power, process, and cooling.

We offer a wide range of custom-built Demineralised Water plants using different types of Resin, adopting Co-current / Counter current regeneration and offering single/multi-layered/strata beds/fluidized beds/packed Beds.
